Sentilo was presented by Julia Lopez Ventura, from the Barcelona City Council, in the breakout session about “Intelligent Infraestructures” in the C40 Biannual Mayors Summit in Johannesburg. In the session Sentilo was introduced as one of the key components of the Barcelona Smart Cities Architecture. Ms. Lopez encouraged other cities to use the open source platform Sentilo in their systems in order to avoid the propietary “silo” infrastructures, as Barcelona has done. She remarked the facts Sentilo is “ready to use” and free to download.
The fifth biennial C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group Mayors Summit took place February 4th-6th, 2014 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Hosted by the city of Johannesburg and delivered in collaboration with the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group (C40), this event brings together C40 Mayors from around the world to advance urban solutions to global climate change through individual efforts as well as international engagement and collaboration.
