DIBA, a key partner of the Sentilo community, has sponsored to explore Apache Superset as a powerful open-source Business Intelligence tool. The initiative aims to provide municipalities within the SmartRegion framework with advanced tools to visualize and extract value from their IoT data.

The project was executed through two successful Proofs of Concept (PoC). The first phase validated the seamless integration between Superset and Sentilo’s historical data stored in TimescaleDB, enabling the creation of intuitive, real-time dashboards for sensor metrics. The second phase focused on automation, deploying a specialized architecture to enable scheduled email reporting, ensuring municipal managers receive key insights automatically.

These tests prove that Apache Superset is a mature and flexible partner for the Sentilo ecosystem. Moving forward, the Sentilo community plan to develop specialized dashboards for mobility and environmental monitoring, further empowering data-driven urban management.
